It offers two effective cutting edges on a single side, making it both economical and practical. Characterized by a large nose angle and high edge strength, it demonstrates excellent resistance to chipping and is well-suited for interrupted cutting operations. It facilitates light, free-cutting action with efficient chip evacuation, making it suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and pre-hardened steels (up to HRC 45). It is primarily utilized for semi-finishing and finishing operations on external diameters, faces, and internal bores. Constructed with an ultra-fine-grain substrate and enhanced by PVD/CVD coatings, it exhibits superior wear resistance and thermal stability, ensuring consistent dimensional accuracy. Note: It is not recommended for heavy-duty roughing applications or for heavy-cut machining of ultra-hard materials (HRC 55+).
