Description
Processing Characteristics
It features a sharp cutting edge and a wiper edge design, resulting in low cutting resistance, smooth chip evacuation, and excellent resistance to material adhesion. The square geometry provides high rigidity, offering strong resistance to impact and suitability for interrupted cutting operations. It is primarily designed for slot milling, side milling, and the machining of T-slots and keyways, and is suitable for use with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and titanium alloys. The insert utilizes an ultra-fine grain substrate combined with a PVD coating, ensuring high wear resistance and thermal stability. Its compact dimensions make it ideal for machining narrow slots, deep slots, and within confined spaces. Disadvantages include a limited number of cutting edges and moderate efficiency during heavy-duty roughing operations; consequently, it is not recommended for roughing applications involving large material removal allowances.
