Description
Processing Characteristics
The cutting edges of these aluminum milling cutters feature a mirror-polished finish paired with a colored DLC coating, resulting in a friction coefficient of less than 0.1 and a hardness exceeding 5000 HV—attributes that ensure superior resistance to both adhesion and wear. The substrate consists of ultra-fine-grain carbide (0.4–0.8 μm), offering a perfect balance of high hardness and toughness. The design incorporates a 3-flute configuration with large U-shaped chip flutes (providing approximately 20% more chip evacuation space), combined with a large helix angle of 35°–45° and a large rake angle of 15°–25°. This geometry ensures sharp, stable cutting action while effectively preventing aluminum chip adhesion, thereby improving surface finish and tool life, and making the tool ideally suited for high-speed machining applications.
